What’s the deal: Globalization has dramatically increased the pace of life to the extent that most of us often struggle to cope with the plethora of routine tasks on our to-do list. Whether you work in a corporate office or, as a salesperson, communicate with customers online, emailing and responding to queries quickly and with no grammatical errors often takes up the biggest chunk of your time.

Text Blaze is a US-based startup that provides automated writing through saved snippets and shortcuts. Founded in 2019, the company recently raised $3.3 million funding in a seed round; the level of satisfaction amongst the investors was extraordinarily high.

Why it matters: Text Blaze took part in the Winter 2021 Y Combinator startup accelerator batch, where it was able to develop its product — Text Blaze Chrome Extension. The beauty of Text Blaze lies in the versatility of its application.

Snippets and shortcuts can be customized and used as a template for any scenario. For example, you can create the shortcut ‘txf’ for ‘Thank you for your feedback’, and use it across all your platforms. Using such shortcuts can boost your productivity up to 11-fold, they claim.

Our take: Text Blaze will be strong competition for similar applications, such as Grammarly and CopyAI. In addition it will, for sure, be a real time-saver for its customers — Chrome Extension has already attracted some 70,000 users.

But, let’s see how quickly it can scale with the new funds, and what effect the acquisition of more customers has on profitability.
